ACF Field Best Practices

Introduction​

Follow this document to find ACF field best practices.

Field Label​

  • Do not use special characters.
  • You can have spaces and capital letters.

Field ID​

  • Do not use special characters.
  • Do not have any spaces.
  • Make sure that your Field ID is unique.
  • You can only use single words, dashes and underscores.

Choices​

When using choices - for example in the checkbox and select field - please be aware of the following.

  • Do not use special characters.

If you would like to use special characters then use the following format.

id : choice
