Custom Cart Icon Numbers Are Not Showing

If your custom cart icon numbers are not showing please follow the steps below.

Double-check Your Setup.

Go to BodyCommerce > Cart Icon Settings and ensure that all is set up correctly. Make sure that your numbers are enabled and that you have selected YES for the use of the custom cart icon. In addition, please double-check the styling of your cart icon and numbers in the settings.

Update, Disable & Flush.

Very often, WordPress Divi problems can be solved by updating. Make sure that Divi BodyCommerce and Divi are updated (do this on a staging website or with the ability to restore). If your cart icons numbers are still not opening after the update, disable the Divi performance options that are related to JQuery, CSS and JS (Javascript) in Divi > Theme Options along with the static CSS file generation found by going to Divi > Theme Options > Builder > Advanced. End off by flushing your permalink structure twice by saving the permalink structure. Go to Settings > Permalinks > Save Twice. Now open in a cache free browser.

Plugin Conflict & Upgrade Server Specs.

OK, so your cart icons are still not opening after all that. Let's keep exploring. Please test to see if there is a plugin conflict. Disable all plugins, clear your browser cache and then see if the issue goes away. If the cart icon numbers are now showing then you know that it is a plugin conflict. Reactivate each plugin one at a time until you find the troublesome plugin. If your cart icon numbers are still not opening then please check to see if your need to upgrade your server specs including the PHP version. Outdated server specifications can cause issues. Extra CSS.

Sometimes problems arise from custom CSS added to your website through Divi > Theme Options or the style.css file of your child theme. Create a staging website and remove any extra CSS to see if perhaps there is some CSS stopping your cart icon numbers from showing.

Restore Your Website.

We have found that when our customers update a plugin or theme, things break. Perhaps your cart icons number issue has to do with a recent update. To get your live website working again, please restore it to a version from before the update (when the cart icon numbers worked) and then contact us. We will then ask you to create a staging website where we can update again and test to see where the problem lies.
