Overview:

The Divi Form Builder module provides robust spam protection options to secure your forms from unwanted spam submissions. Within the "Spam Protection" section of the "Content" tab, users can access four types of spam protection mechanisms tailored to various needs and preferences.

Accessing Spam Protection Features:

  1. Open the Form Builder Module: Begin by navigating to the page or post where you wish to add or edit a form and open the Divi Form Builder module.
  2. Navigate to the Content Tab: Within the module settings, select the Content tab to access the form's configuration options.
  3. Locate the Spam Protection Section: Scroll down to find the "Spam Protection" section. This is where you'll find the available spam protection options.

Types of Spam Protection:

  1. Google reCAPTCHA - Google reCAPTCHA is a widely recognized method for deterring spam. Click HERE to learn how to set up both reCAPTCHA v2 and v3 for your Divi Form.
  2. Basic CAPTCHA Field - To enable the Basic CAPTCHA Field:
    1. Activate the Option: Turn on the button to enable the Basic CAPTCHA Field.
  3. Honeypot CAPTCHA - The Honeypot CAPTCHA is a less intrusive method for detecting bots:
    1. Enable the Feature: Simply turn on the button to activate Honeypot CAPTCHA. It works in the background without requiring any interaction from genuine users.
  4.  Hide the Submit Button - This feature increases protection by hiding the submit button until certain conditions are met:
    1. Turn on the Feature: Enable this option to activate the conditional visibility of the submit button.
    2. Set Conditions: 
      1. For validation-based visibility, add a specific field ID and the expected answer for that field. The submit button will only become visible when these conditions are satisfied.
      2. For time-based visibility, set a specific period. The submit button will only become visible when the period is reached.

Notes:

User Experience: Consider the user experience when choosing spam protection methods. While security is paramount, ensuring a smooth submission process for legitimate users is also crucial.
Testing: After configuring your chosen spam protection methods, conduct thorough testing to ensure they function as expected without hindering user submissions.
