Build A Registration Form With ACF Fields

Written by the Divi Engine Documentation Team

Introduction

Follow these steps to learn how to build a registration form with ACF fields.

Step 1: Introduction

Follow this documentation to learn how to build a registration form with ACF fields using Divi Form Builder. Please note that this document only shows how to add ACF fields and not how to set up the rest of the form. Please visit the Form Types menu item to your left to learn how to set up a registration form. Please click HERE for detailed descriptions of each setting in the Form module.

Step 2: Create ACF Fields

First, you will need to create an ACF Field Group and related fields assigned to the correct user role. For example, if my registration form is set to create editors, then I must create an ACF Editor Field Group, add any number of fields and then assign the User Role Is Equal To Editor.

If done correctly you will see the field in the User section of your WordPress Dashboard.

Step 3: Add ACF Fields

After setting up your Field Group with fields make your way to your form, double-check that the Default User Role is the same as you have assigned in the ACF Field Group. After doing that, add your fields mapping them to "User Meta Field(User/Login Form Only)" and the SLUG of the field. For example, my slug is company_name and I found this in the ACF Field Group.

View your new registration form containing ACF fields from the front end and remember to use the Design tab for extra style.
