Introduction

Follow these steps to set up a search form.

Step 1: Search Posts Settings

Make your way to the post, page, project or Theme Builder Layout where you would like to display a search form, add the Search Post Module and then assign the correct Seach Post Type in the Main Options. For more information on this module please visit the modules section in our documentation to your left.

Step 2: Add A Search Item

Add a Search Item and set what you would like to filter as well as the Post Type.

Step 3: Search Post Style

Click on the Design tab and play around with the styling options available. You can colour the text and icon, align the contents left, middle and right as well as size the module.

Step 4: Define Search Settings

Make your way to Divi Engine > Machine Settings > Search Settings to define what you would like the Search Posts module to search.

Step 5: Search Results Page

Create and style a Search Results Page Layout in the Divi Theme Builder by adding the Archive Loop Module and Custom Loop Layout.

Step 6: No Results Layout

Create and style a No Results Page Layout in the Divi Library and assign it to the Archive Loop Module of the Search Results Page found in the Divi Theme Builder.
